Tell Me How I'm Supposed to Breathe With No Air
Today was the temple dedication for the Brigham City, Utah temple. Oh my goodness. How blessed am I to live in a day and age where so many temples dot the earth. This is the 139th temple that has been dedicated in the latter days. 139. One Hundred Thirty- Nine. There are 139 operating temples on the Earth today. Something that was mentioned today at the dedication was the importance of having temples. They spoke of the temple in Rome that is being built right now, and reminded us that without temples the Earth would be wasted. I am so glad I know about the Plan of Happiness, and the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel like my life would be meaningless without that knowledge. What would I do, not being able to be sealed to my family for eternity? What a sad life that would be, to only think I could be with them for the short time we are on the Earth.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the Brigham City Temple Open House. What a great opportunity for those who know little about the temples of the Lord to get to see what they look like on the inside. I love the temple.
My little sister, Emma is up at BYU-Idaho. I am so happy for her. I've been so worried about her, since she is so little. She and Darcie have always been the little girls of our family, and it's so weird to see her off in college. Anyways, she seems to be doing good. I'm glad, because I had so much fun at BYU-I.
Have I mentioned how much I love BYU-I? I do. And I love the Rexburg temple. It is so beautiful. And I love my family. I'm so glad my little sister has the opportunity to attend that school.
I know I haven't written about my little brother, Richard, aka Elder Elizondo, in a while, so I thought I would talk about him. I'm currently watching The Other Side of Heaven. You know, I've never understood those people who cry about their siblings serving missions, missing them, counting the days before they return. Dallin's mission went by so quickly, Richard's seems to be doing the same. Two years devoted just to the Lord? You're gonna bet I'm happy for him. I am so thankful for the brother's I got blessed with. I wish they could understand how much they influenced me to be better. I'm so grateful for the examples they are to me. I know whatever Richard, aka Elder Elizondo is doing, it is what the Lord would have him do. I hope the people of Florida appreciate him as much as I do.
What else? Oh! I'm still loving my new job. It's seriously the best. Here's a picture of me at my desk:
Yep. Happy as ever. I love it. I can see God's hand in my life, and I am so grateful to Him every day for all the blessings he gives me.
One last thing. It is my best friends birthday today. She's 23. Wow. Chris- you're old. Wow. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday she was a baby............. ;)
